I started working with Jamie Tyndall as his convention and Shopify manager in 2016. I travelled throughout the country for two years growing his business and managing his website remotely. In that time, I worked 25+ conventions a year and helped grow his business and fan base. In January of 2018, I moved to his home city of St Louis where we started a printing business. Over the next two years, he taught me how to use photoshop and gave me design lessons from his years of working in magazines and advertisement.  

 

Soon after moving to St Louis, Jamie ran his first Kickstarter which would launch us both into the next stages of our careers. We continued to travel to conventions and run Kickstarters until the shutdown of 2020. As soon as we received the news of the first convention cancellation, I moved our entire business online. Four months later, Merc Publishing was conceived.  

I had never written anything before, but I love a challenge and was in dear need of a passion project in the height of the pandemic. Miss Meow #1 was wildly successful on Kickstarter, and that opened up the opportunity to start a full on publishing company. I ran the first year of Merc Publishing from a one desk office in downtown St Louis, and it was the most transformative year of my life.

In the years since, I have worked in every aspect of publishing, promoting and designing, and the hands on experience of the last five years has made me a professional in my field. I've designed billboards, raised over one million dollars on Kickstarter, worked with renowned artists, and publishing 34 comic issues. 

Krowd Control was established in October 2023 to share my passion and knowledge of marketing and crowd funding with other professionals in the industry.
